HA25: Duodenum. Groat's stain

In HA25, the pancreas (p) is to the left. There are large Brunner’s glands (arrows) in the submucosa of the duodenum, which is cut in cross-section. The villi are very tall. Capillaries and lacteals (CV HA27&28), are present in the centers of the villi. Villi extend like fingers into the lumen. Infoldings and glands/crypts, extend into the lamina propria.
