Be sure you understand the difference between medullary sinuses, that contain the innate immune system cells, and medullary cords, that contain B and T cells of the adaptive immune system. The denser, cord lymphatic tissue (cut in cross-section in HA18) is separated from the sinuses (most of the image, HA18) by a barrier consisting of endothelium.
