Hashimoto’s (chronic lymphocytic) thyroiditis at low power. There are small lymphocytes (the small blue nuclei) infiltrating throughout the organ’s parenchyma, even to the point of creating a germinal center (top right). The follicles are in the process of being destroyed and the remaining follicles are small with reactive changes to the epithelial cells (see higher power).
